HOMEMADE TURKEY CHORIZO

Homemade Turkey Chorizo

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb. 85/15 ground turkey 

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp coriander

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 3 tsp smoked paprika

  • 3 tsp chipotle pepper, ground

  • 2 tsp garlic

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix all the dry spices and add to a large bowl with the ground turkey.  

  2. Once all the seasoning has been absorbed by the meat and is well mixed, add the vinegar and allow to marinate for 12-24 hours.

  3. Preheat the Matador and cook until the turkey has reached an internal temp. of 165°F.

 

Note: This recipe is also great to use with ground beef, pork, and chicken cooked in bulk.
